Sands of Doom, the flagship campaign from MrRhexx, is crafted for 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons and supports characters from levels 1 to 11. The book is fully compatible with both the 2014 and 2024 editions of the game.

Darkness rises in the heart of the Wasteland, where a long-dormant evil rallies an army of the dead. As the sands churn with the march of oblivion, heroes must cross cursed deserts, unearth the lost cities of the gnoll kings of old, and recover the Divine Relics—fragments of long-lost divine power—the only hope they have against the tide of doom sweeping across the land.

Sands of Doom includes:

Full Adventure. In Sands of Doom, players venture into Kirat—a blistering desert realm of ancient buried cities, cursed dunes, and sun-scorched badlands. Within its 360 pages are 3 chapters of rich worldbuilding and 8 chapters of a gritty, perilous campaign where heroes must cross the shifting sands to stop an ancient evil from consuming the land. The book includes appendices filled with dozens of monster stat blocks, 14 Divine Relics—artifact-level magical items the players must uncover to empower themselves—and 9 unique, desert-themed magic items designed for surviving the harsh Wasteland.

Time Tracking. The sands do not wait. In Sands of Doom, time is your enemy. Once the plot of the campaign kicks in, the players have just 60 days to uncover the secrets of the desert while Lord Ammu raises a monstrous army to march on Al’Kirat. As such, every day counts. Villains advance their schemes. Locations shift or vanish. Some secrets only reveal themselves under certain phases of the moon. Fail to act in time, and the consequences are real. To help GMs run Sands of Doom, this book includes tools and a dedicated appendix to help GMs track the timeline and manage the many time-sensitive elements woven throughout the adventure.

Bound Genies. Scattered across the cursed dunes of Kirat are four imprisoned genies—each holding the power to grant a single grand wish. To support the GM, the book provides detailed rules for handling wishes in and out of combat, including the Unbreakable Laws of Wishes—absolute principles that all genies must follow or risk death when fulfilling a wish.

Purchasable Magical Items. Throughout the adventure, characters will have the opportunity to purchase magical gear from the Grand Bazaar of Al’Kirat. To support this, Sands of Doom includes a detailed appendix filled with enchanted items, potions, spell scrolls, and poisons—each with listed prices—so players can browse and prepare for the trials that await in the desert.

Digital Art. Sands of Doom comes with a full suite of digital assets, including battlemaps, NPC portraits, and illustrations of key locations and scenes. You can use this artwork to enhance your online tabletop sessions with source-quality art, or print them for use in your in-person games (for personal use only).
